Getting Organized…
As I mentioned in my “New Years’ Resolution” post – I am really bad about leaving all of the weekly cleaning / housework until Saturday. I finally sat down and made a list of the things I want to get done each evening. In theory, if I follow the chart I should only have to spend a short amount of time each night getting my house in order (instead of HOURS & HOURS on Saturday). Yes, some may call this a little bit OCD (i’ll be the first to admit it… hah), but lists are kinda my thing. I love the satisfaction of crossing things off as I finish them. Post-its are my friend…
Here’s my List.
Sunday:
- Start Laundry Loads- (also CHANGE TOWELS & SHEETS Today)
Monday:
- Finish Laundry (Fold / Iron / Hang Up & Put Away)
- I strategically picked the night where there are lots of good TV shows 😉
Tuesday:
- Dust & Vacuum — Quick & easy job for B-Study Night
Wednesday:
- Light – Clean Bathrooms
- Wipe down counter / Windex Mirrors / Empty Garbage Bins
Thursday:
- Laundry (Mike usually umpires so I have down time)
- WASH DOG BLANKETS
Friday:
- Dust, Vacuum, & Sweep (Living Room, Kitchen, & Foyer)
Saturday:
- Mop Kitchen & Foyer
- Vacuum UPSTAIRS
- Deep Clean Bathrooms (Mop Floors / Shower / Toilets / Counters / Mirrors)
1st & 3rd Saturday of the Month:
- Wash Cars & Dogs
1st & 3rd Sunday of the Month:
- Clean Out Fridge
Oh, how glorious it will be to one day delegate some of these chores to our future children! haha
