Frozen Yogurt

Seriously, David Lebovitz is a genius. Yep I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. GENIUS. Each and every frozen treat I make from hisย cookbook is UNBELIEVABLY delicious! ๐Ÿ™‚ This recipe is no exception! Feast your eyes on this…
Pink-berry’s who? haha Unfortunately where I’m from, we don’t have any Pink-berry’s, Mochi, Orange Leaf or any of the other multitudes of Fro-Yo joints that are oh SO hot right now! When I came across this recipe and HAD to try it! I love that tart flavor of ACTUAL frozen yogurt. Please try this. It’s ridiculous.

Frozen Yogurt

Recipe from: David Lebovitz

3 Cups Plain Yogurt (Whole Milk)
1 Cup Sugar
1 tsp (I used more like a TBS) Vanilla Extract

Mix together and allow to sit in the refrigerator for at least an hour. I'm assuming this is to dissolve the sugar granules. When ready, pour the thick mixture into ice-cream maker and mix according to manufacturers instructions.

When ready, serve as soft serve (my personal favorite) or pour into an airtight container and freeze for more of an "ice-cream" consistency (the hubs' favorite).

Layer in Mix-ins if you like: I did Strawberries and Mini Chocolate Chips. Wow.

Other mix-in ideas:
Mini m&m’s
(Choc, Caramel, Raspberry etc…)
Endless possibilities, people. Go get on it! ๐Ÿ™‚

This looks incredible, Tina! It's still pretty warm here in Los Angeles, so this looks like the perfect post-dinner treat to cool down. Thanks for sharing this awesome dessert! As a fellow newlywed and home cook, I'm so glad I found your blog – We have so much in common, and your recipes are to die for!
