Cheesy Garlic Bread

Cheese. Garlic. Butter. Bread.  Need I say more?

This bread brings me back to childhood when we used to eat those French Bread pizzas (you know what I am talking about!!). Anyhow, I needed something tasty to go along side of my Sherried Tomato Soup and this just sounded SO right! YUM. Definitely not the healthiest of dishes, but totally and completely delicious.

Cheesy Garlic Bread

1 Stick Butter
4-5 cloves Garlic
4-6 oz of freshly Grated Cheese (we used Monterey Jack)
1 loaf Italian Bread

Using a food processor, add first three ingredients and blend to make a puree.

Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise and place into the oven at 350°. Allow to toast on both sides by turning it in the oven. Once bread has a slightly crusty feel (about 3-4 minutes on each side), remove from oven and smear the cheesy garlic butter puree over both halves of the bread (on the cut side). Place back into the oven and crank the heat up to 400°. Allow to bake until cheese bubbles and begins to brown.

Remove from oven and allow to cool. Slice into small slices and serve!
