KINKY Liqueur Mango and Blood Orange Sparkling Sangria

KINKY Mango & Blood Orange Sangria by My Life as a Mrs

It’s Friday and I thought it was time to resurrect an old series and give ya’ll a cocktail Friday! It’s due time for one, don’t ya think? Normally this is hubs’ deal, but since he’s out doing the work thing so we can afford the extra little human we have in our household, you get me instead!

I teamed up with KINKY Liqueur Vodka to bring this gorgeous cocktail to you today! Now, since I’m in charge of the bar today, you get a lovely fruity and super girly cocktail! Plus it’s PINK (I knew you’d all get behind me on this one)!

As a new mom, I was in serious need of a girls night. You know, one where I wasn’t makeup-less wearing yoga pants, covered in spit up, and in desperate need of shower. Sometimes momma needs a night off! Am I right?

So I decided to throw a little soiree for my mommy girlfriends. Cocktails and hors devours. No boys or babies allowed! The key to throwing a successful happy hour party (and not having a lot of time for planning) is to do things that don’t require a ton of effort, but dress it up to make it look beautiful. After all, you eat (and drink) with your eyes first!

Sangria’s are a great option because you can mix up a big batch of it ahead of time in a gorgeous glass pitcher. Then  when your guests arrive, you can spend time chatting and entertaining instead of slaving away behind the bar! It’s as easy as pouring over ice and serving! As my husband so brilliantly taught me… Sangria requires 4 things:

1. Wine: I went with a Sparkling White Wine (Prosecco)

2. Spirits: KINKY pink is the perfect choice with the exotic flavors of mango, blood orange, and passion fruit (YUM!). Add a little vodka to kick it up a notch!

3. Fruit: Mangoes, Blood Orange, and some lemons for gorgeous color.

4. Sweeteners: Blood Orange Juice and Mango nectar to enhance the already amazing KINKY pink flavors!

I decided to keep the hors devour effortless as well. But just because it’s effortless doesn’t mean it can’t be gorgeous as well! I love putting together an elaborate meat and cheese board. So I picked out 3 different cheeses and kicked it up with some marinated olives & artichokes, fresh fruit, a variety of crackers, dried fruit, and some nuts. I must say, it made one fabulous looking presentation that the girls just loved!

Served up with the delicious pitcher of this KINKY Mango and Blood Orange Sparkling Sangria, it made for a kickin’ girls night in! This is the phase of life where I don’t have much time for slaving away in the kitchen so something elegant and simple like this was pure perfection. The evening was about all about getting a BREAK and having fun chit chatting with my girls! :)

Well, tickle me pink..I’m having a dinner (or a lunch) party on Saturday and I wanted to give my Chinese guests a “western” cocktail. I’ll need a replacement for the Kinky (sorry Kinky), but this sounds marvelous!
