Pretzel Crusted Honey Mustard Chicken

Pretzels and mustard go hand in hand, right? So why not honey mustard and pretzels?… and while we’re on that subject… why don’t we dunk some chicken in that said honey mustard and then coat it with some crushed up pretzels?!

THAT, my friends, is how my brain works. hah

And THAT is how some of our favorite dinners are born:

This is one heck of a meal! And one of the easiest as well…

5 ingredients, folks. That’s right – F.I.V.E. ingredients (and that even includes what you need to make your own homemade honey mustard dressing!).

You. will. love. it.

It’s no secret that we are fans of coating our proteins…

Pretzel Crusted Honey Mustard Chicken

Yield: 4 servings

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 20-25 minutes

Total Time: 35 minutes

Easy crispy honey mustard chicken that will knock your socks off!

Ingredients:

For the Honey Mustard:
1 1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup Grey Poupon dijon mustard

For the Chicken:
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts, pounded to 1/4"-1/8" thick
1 1/2 cups crushed pretzels

Directions:

For the Honey Mustard:
Whisk together ingredients until completely combined. Set aside until ready to use.

For the Chicken:
Preheat oven to 400° F. Set a oven-safe cooling rack over a baking sheet and spray with non-stick cooking spray.

Place crushed pretzels into a shallow pie plate. In another pie plate, place 1/2-2/3 cups of the honey mustard (reserving the rest for serving).

Dunk the chicken breasts (one at a time) in the honey mustard and then into the crushed pretzels, being sure that you coat the chicken well. Place on prepared baking sheet and bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, until the chicken is cooked completely and is no longer pink when cut into.

Serve hot with a side of honey mustard.

Crushed pretzels?! How innovative! Will definitely have to try this. Also love that it just takes 5 ingredients – makes it a lot easier for dinners during the week.

I’m also super excited about the Jalapeno Kettle Chip Crusted Chicken too.

Been making something like this for my family for several years after trying it a restaurant. For variation, I mix mustard powder in with crushed honey wheat pretzels and coat the chicken with a mixture of yellow, honey, spicy, and stone-ground mustards. Keep up the great blog, Mrs!

Served this last night for our dinner club (started in 1985 with 6 couples and still going!) It was very moist and tender. Great taste and the honey mustard sauce is excellent! Thanks for the recipe.
