Okay, ya’ll don’t fall over… today hubs is back with a Cocktail Friday installment!!! woo hoo! Happy New Year to us all! 🙂

What’s up foodie friends?!

SO sorry I’ve been MIA for basically all of 2012. Work has been great but very busy and Tina’s kitchen always needs cleaning, so my shaker and I have had to take a little hiatus.

However, I couldn’t let 2012 slip away without giving you one more sweet libation to usher in the new year!

This little sipper is perfect for any occasion and for any discriminating palate. It’s light and sweet but packs a little punch and warms the stomach with the addition of the bourbon.

It’s actually a perfect party drink as you can pre-mix the bourbon and simple syrup ahead of time. Set up a bar with the bourbon/simple syrup mixture in a pitcher, some mint springs in a bowl, a bottle of bubbly on ice and have your guests mix their own cocktails! This makes for happy party guests and a happy bartender.

Just want to thank you guys from the bottom of my heart for following along and encouraging my beautiful bride on her blog this past year. We really appreciate all of you all and are looking forward to a happy new year in 2013.

And I promise to bring back Cocktail Fridays with increased regularity in the new year.

Cheers & Happy New Year!
