Home Tour: Nursery

Note: Please excuse the poor lighting in the following photos… Peyton’s nursery is really dark which is awesome for sleeping but not so awesome for photos, but I think ya’ll can get the picture! 😉

When hubs and I found out we were having a little girl we were PUMPED to start on her nursery! We were sort of uncertain where we wanted to start but we knew one thing for sure: we did NOT want to buy a bedding in a bag set. Nothing against them, but we wanted her room to be a little more quirky/ecclectic than a bedding in a bag allows for… 😉

I went STRAIGHT to ETSY to see if anything popped out to me and my eye kept going back to this gorgeous and punchy floral, polka dot, and ruffle set. I was in LOVE. I adored that it had that “vintage” feel but in a modern way.

Once we found the perfect bedding, it was ON! We picked out a nice soothing light mint color for the walls since we were going a little funky everywhere else (didn’t want Peyton to be too overstimulated hah!).

From there, we just started to incorporate different colors, patterns, and textures… a little chevron here, some semi gloss hot pink paint there, a mirrored end table, and a cowhide rug to add just the right amount of funk! We were absolutely thrilled with how it turned out. I remember sitting in that rocking chair in her room imagining what’d it would be like when she was finally here… it’s hard to believe she’s 4 MONTHS already! Time flies… (someone hand me a tissue!)

Alright, enough of that! Check out the little lady’s sweet digs…

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” Ecclesiastes 3:11

The whole room…

Peyton’s little reading corner…

And can I point out how ridiculously spoiled our daughter is by all of our friends and family??? This child has more clothes than me! :-p

What a beautiful nursery! I hope to be able to do custom bedding for our kiddo (God willing, of course) someday. I love the freedom of choosing fabrics to make your own theme, and yours is simply adorable! 🙂

Oh I love your nursery and the bright colors! I agree with you we didn’t want a bed in a bag set. Yet we’ve went super simple with just a crib sheet. I love all the bright colors!

OMG, I love her nursery! You have exquisite taste. Kind of makes me hanker for another one (a little girl!) at some point 🙂 Oh, and I’m going to steal the reading corner idea!
